The much-anticipated return of Sacha Baron Cohen ’s character Borat is finally here.

Today Borat 2: Subsequent Moviefilm has finally dropped on Amazon Prime, and sees the return of the Kazakhstani character.

Filmed mostly in 2020, the film sees Borat return to the US, this time in the hope of marrying his daughter off to someone “close to the throne”.

Cohen, who is widely known for his hilarious portrayal of Ali G, has received dozens of awards for his comedy work.

He’s been nominated for several Emmys, as well as an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.

It will come as no surprise that Cohen, who released the first Borat film to critical acclaim in 2006, has amassed an impressive fortune throughout the years.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s net worth is an estimated $160million (£122million), according to wealth website Celebrity Net Worth.

Before getting his big break, Cohen worked as a fashion model and host for local TV.

He had a flair for creating hilarious characters, so sent a tape to Channel 4 as a fictional Albanian TV reporter called Kristo.

This character, who would later become Borat, impressed Channel 4.

He started appearing on shows as Ali G throughout the late 1990s, and even got his own show called Da Ali G Show.

Cohen’s fame grew even furthering 2006 when he released the first Borat film, winning him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy.

He went on to make two more films with satirical characters, Bruno and in The Dictator.

Cohen has been married to Australian actress Isla Fisher since 2010, and the couple have three children together.

Ex Home and Away star Isla met the comedian in 2002 at a party in Sydney. They felt an instant spark and started dating.

Isla told Marie Claire that meeting Sacha was like “winning the lottery”, admitting that their successful relationship was due to their similar sense of humour and the fact that they are polar opposites.

They became engaged in 2004, and then married on March 15, 2010 in Paris after Isla converted to Judaism.

Sacha and Isla’s first daughter Olive was born in 2008, followed by Elula in 2011 and a son, Montgomery in 2015.
