Adil Ray snaps at GMB crew as teleprompter 'sex' blunder leaves him and Ranvir mortified

Good Morning Britain hosts Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray were left red faced after an awkward blunder on the teleprompter.

As the dynamic duo hosted Tuesday’s instalment of the popular ITV morning show, the pair couldn’t help but promote GMB’s 1 Million Minutes charity campaign which they managed to smash during Monday’s episode.

But while introducing the segment, Adil appeared to slip up by saying “sex” instead of “six” live on air.

As the 47-year-old attempted to laugh off the mix up he pointed out that the error was not with him but was actually a tech mistake.

The TV presenter said: “It opens to people in England only if you sign up by going to our website by pledging 180 minutes a week for sex – for six … sex?”

And viewers at home weren’t the ones who were shocked with his comments, as a shocked Ranvir turned to her co-host with her jaw on the floor.

Before fans could take to Twitter to comment on the hilarious interaction online, Adil urged that the error was on the teleprompter.

He insisted: “It actually says, ‘for sex’ in there! It does say that!”

“Alright, Anchorman.” Ranvir joked as she chuckled next to her partner.

Still mortified, Adil pleaded: “Can you show them the prompt? There you go!”

The camera then panned over to the teleprompter which indeed said ‘sex’ on it as the co-host continued: “That wasn’t me! That wasn’t me!”

But his colleagues couldn’t help but poke fun at the hilarious on air blunder as The Mirror’s Kevin Maguire joked: “So you’re recommending 180 minutes for sex a week?”

The Daily Mail’s Andrew Pierce chimed in with: “In one go? Quite healthy!” as Ranvir added: “180 minutes for that, who knew?”

And viewers soon swarmed to Twitter to share their thoughts on the hilarious interaction, with one tweeting: “Well, someone’s getting fired at Good Morning Britain.”

Another asked: “Had to laugh!! Adil reading the teleprompter!! 18o minutes of sex! I’m dead.”

It comes after the 44-year-old made her relationship with new beau Louis Church, 26, official over the weekend when they attended Capital’s Jingle BellBall at the O2 Arena.

It is thought the pair first met backstage during her time on Strictly Come Dancing last year.

The broadcaster gushed over her new boyfriend as she told The Sun: “I’m really happy.”

A source told the publisher: “Ranvir and Louis have been dating for a few months and are totally in love.

“She has met his family and went to his aunt’s wedding with him last week. And it’s obvious Louis has taken a real shine to Tuscan.”
