Our Yorkshire Farm shepherdess Amanda Owen, 46, took to social media to show her concerned fans her black eye after an accident.
Posting a clip of herself carrying out her farming duties, Amanda told her followers that she had been absent from tending to the flock after suffering the injury.
She shared a video of herself shearing the sheep at Ravenseat Farm, telling her fans that she’d been “out of action” for a while.
Amanda was seen gripping each sheep by their horns as she quickly ran the trimmer through their wool, clearly a pro at it.
She captioned the video: “Eat, sleep, sheep, repeat”, before adding “*Actually I’ve been out of action…the very last frame might enlighten*”.
In the last few seconds of the clip, Amanda could be seen sporting a late black bruise around her eye as she looked towards the camera.
She also shared her injury on Instagram, writing: “Injured in the line of duty. *Head-butted by a sheep*.”
Her fans quickly rushed to the post to share their messages of concern for the mum-of-nine, asking her if she was all right and to wish her better.
One posted: “Tough break with the eye, hope it’s not too painful.”
Another added: “It amazes me how neat you do it! I’d be so bad at it, hope your eyes ok looks painful x.”
A third asked: “Did you get a kick to the face?”
Amanda’s injury comes after she sent her followers wild by sharing a stunning bikini snap after taking her kids out for a swim in a nearby stream.
Sharing their fun on her social media page, Amanda’s post sparked a strong reaction from her fans, with many complimenting her on her polka dot swimwear, whilst others were concerned about the kids swimming in “red water”.
As fans rushed to ask about the colour of the water, others reassured them by explaining that the colour of the water was down to the amount of peat in the surrounding soil, and was perfectly safe.
