Netflix has dropped another docu-series for true crime fans to obsess over.
The Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness delves deep into the case of serial killer David Berkowitz, who killed six people and injured seven more in the US between 1976 and 1977.
At the time, Berkowitz left police a letter calling himself the Son of Sam, and later claimed he had been driven to killing by the dog next door, who had been possessed by a demon.
Berkowitz, who targeted young couples parked in cars, was eventually caught and pled guilty.
He was sentenced to six life sentences for his crimes, and went to prison in 1979 – but where is the serial killer now?
Where is Son of Sam now?
Berkowitz, now aged 67, is still alive. He is currently housed in Shawangunk Correctional Facility in Ulster County, New York.
Because Berkowitz pleaded guilty to all charges against him, he became eligible for parole after 25 years.
He has been considered for parole every two years since 2002, but has been denied each time – and has not asked to be released.
Throughout the years he has spent time in a psychiatric hospital and in other prisons, including Attica.
While in prison, Berkowitz converted to Christianity and wrote a book called Son of Hope: The Prison Journals of David Berkowitz.
He also has his own website, where he refers to himself as the “former Son of Sam”.
When he was interviewed by Larry King in 2002, Berkowitz talked about the work he was doing in prison.
He said: “I work in the mental health unit. It’s called intermediate care program.”
Berkowitz added: “And I’m there as like a peer counsellor for the men that have emotional problems.
“Every morning, Monday through Friday, I go over there to work with those guys. And that’s really a challenge, and I enjoy doing that very much.
“It’s in an unofficial capacity. I’m kind of like a combination chaplain counsellor, guidance counsellor and just a friend to those guys.”
What did David Berkowitz do?
Berkowitz committed eight separate shooting attacks between July 29 1976 and July 31 1977.
He would target people sat in cars, and shoot them using a .44 revolver.
His first victims were friends Donna Lauria and Jody Valenti, who were parked in the Bronx area.
Lauria was killed instantly, but Valetni survived.
Berkowitz killed six people, and wounded seven, sparking one of the biggest manhunts in New York history.
Berkowitz was arrested in August 1977, after a woman saw a car being ticketed by a policeman in her neighbourhood.

Moments later, a suspicious-looking man with some kind of object in his hand neared her car and seemed to stare at her.
She reported the incident, and they tracked down all the cars that had been ticketed in the area, and found what they believed to be the “Son of Sam” killer’s car.
The car had guns and ammunition inside, and police waited for Berkowitz to apprehend him at his vehicle.
