Meghan Markle’s dad appeared on GB News on Thursday evening, where he was questioned about his daughter and the Royal family.
Thomas Markle, 77, had joined journalist and news presenter Dan Wootten for The Big Question, which sees a guest thrown questions by the public.
Earlier today (August 12), GB News host Dan announced the news about his special guest and said: “Meghan Markle’s father Thomas bares his soul.
“After blowing her latest chance to reconcile, heartbroken Thomas reveals just how far he’ll go to see his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.
“Plus his message to the royals as Prince Harry prepares to stab his family in the back with a tell-all book.
“Don’t miss this bombshell, exclusive interview on tonight live.”
During the interview, Thomas appeared via video link from his home in Mexico where he gave honest answers to questions thrown at him and squashed any rumours circulating about his daughter.
GB News host Dan asked Thomas if Meghan always had “the capacity to lie”.
The father-of-three said the apparent ability was something “new” and “since being with Prince Harry”.
But went on to say he wasn’t sure “if he [Prince Harry] is the one behind it”.
He also said he was “blaming Harry” for the lack of support he received from his daughter over the amount of paparazzi attention.
However, Thomas then added that he “loves his daughter” during the interview.
Later on, news presenter Dan wanted to clear up a few rumours and asked Thomas if Meghan “was obsessed with the Royal Family growing up”.
Thomas insisted: “She was probably aware of them,” and went to London at 15 to “take a picture outside of Buckingham Palace but that was it”.
Viewers of GB News also got the chance to ask questions to Thomas Markle
One question asked was: “Would you give up talking to the media if you got a chance to see your grandkids?”
Thomas then replied that no he wouldn’t give up the chance to speak out about his family.
It comes as the father of the Duchess of Sussex, 40, has been estranged from his daughter since 2018 and when she married into the Royal family.
Thomas was not invited to the Royal wedding to Prince Harry, after it was reported he had made an agreement with US photographers.
The agreement was allegedly said to have set up pictures of himself before the ceremony was set to take place.
