Demi Lovato gets huge spider tattoo on their skull after debuting new hair style

Demi Lovato has had a huge black spider tattooed on their head.

The Skyscraper singer – who uses they/them pronouns after coming out as non-binary – unveiled the striking new inking in pictures on Instagram.

Demi, 29, is currently sporting a buzzcut and has had the large arachnid etched onto one of the closely shaved parts of their head.

Explaining the meaning behind the new marking, the Camp Rock star revealed it was a nod to Grandmother Spider, an important creation figure in indigenous American mythology.

“It was Grandmother Spider who taught us many things,” wrote the singer, who has some Native American heritage.

Demi, who went to tattooist to the stars Dr Woo to have the new etching done, added emojis of a black heart and a spider to the post.

“Or maybe there’s a period of time when I get older that I identify as a woman.”

The Heart Attack singer added that it was about “keeping it open and free”, explaining that they were “a very fluid person”.

Demi has several tattoos, including a flock of birds on their arm, a cross on the side of their hand and the words ‘Stay Strong on their wrist.
