Michelle, who has played Vanessa Woodfield on the ITV soap since 2012, already shares two-year-old son Teddy with her wife who is a producer on Emmerdale.
Her close friends and Emmerdale co-stars inundated the post with sweet messages as they congratulated the pair on their newest arrival.
Mandy Dingle star Lisa Riley gushed: “Yipppeeeee!!! Congratulations to you all…Betty is going to be loved beyond words, especially by her big bro Teddy. Cannot wait for snuggles…..Betty Boo so 1976.”
ITV news presenter Lucrezia Millarini commented: “Many congratulations – what a beaut! x.”
The actress announced that they would be becoming a family of four back in July after sharing a sweet snap on Instagram.
Admitting she could almost fit a mug of tea on her blossoming bump, she shared an adorable snap of little Teddy smiling by a large TV screen which had the words: “COMING THIS WINTER… Baby Brooks #2.”
Later that month, Michelle and Kate joined the Loose Women panel to reveal the gender of their bundle of joy.
Michelle spoke about the donor process, saying: “We were at the clinic but we didn’t know much about it and it, we did a little bit of research.
“It was as simple as what characteristics, like colour hair and we didn’t know really…just as long as they’re kind really and a lovely person,” she continued.
“They sent through two donor CV’s.”
Kate added: “For us it was important that they [the donor] was very kind, intelligent, just good family values and the guy we chose had all those attributes.”
The Emmerdale star then explained that the donor is interested in meeting the two children when they are older.
They then shared the news live on air as the thrilled couple revealed: “So baby number two is…a little girl.”
