Holly Willoughby was jokingly told “shut your face” by her This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield during the latest instalment of the ITV daytime show.
The dynamic duo were back on our screens on Wednesday (April 20) and things took an unexpected turn during the cooking segment at the end of the programme.
Phillip made a joke that a young viewer once said to him that he likes watching him cook on the show because he’s not very good.
The presenter said that he felt he had a lot to prove to young Sam, his friends at school and teachers.
Chef Ella Woodward was back in the kitchen making a creamy mushroom risotto.
She gave Phillip a small job of adding some pepper and Holly asked him if he could manage it.
Phillip playfully hit back: “Shut your face” as he continued to do the task.
The pair tucked into the tasty treat as the brought the show to a close.
Earlier in the episode, Phillip took aim at Prince Harry over his cryptic comments about wanting to “protect the Queen”.
During an interview at the Invictus Games, the Duke of Sussex said he enjoyed visit his grandmother recently but wants to make sure she is “protected” and surrounded by “the right people”.
The meaning of Harry’s comments was discussed during the Morning View segment.
Royal contributor Camila Tominey said during The Morning View segment: “Maybe we’re reading too much into it.”
“He did sort of say, I felt, as a throw away remark, to be honest.
“I don’t think he said it in a very calculated way there in that interview.”
While Tom Swarbrick pointed out: “But that’s also true of a lot of other things they’ve said isn’t it? Again this throw away line which explodes because they are who they are and they talking about a family that is so important.”

Host Phillip added: “Yeah, but even though he thinks he has backed away from that lifestyle and said how much it affected his mental health, he still knows how it works.”
He continued: “He still knows that you can’t, as him, have a throw away line like that.
“It will be analysed, it will be looked at and we don’t know what the conversation was.
“They may have been roaring their heads off laughing having a wonderful time saying ‘lovely to see you, sorry we can’t stay longer, good to see you granny’, but a line like that is something that will be analysed.”
