Liverpudlian comedian John Bishop has slammed Jeremy Clarkson’s vile Meghan Markle rant as a “blatant appeal to incite violence” on the Duchess of Sussex.
Following on from the former Top Gear star, 62, saying that he hates Prince Harry’s wife Meghan on a “cellular level” after the couple’s Netflix series was released, John has hit back in defence.
In his column for The Sun, Jeremy said: “I hate her [Meghan]. Not like I hate Nicola Sturgeon or Rose West. I hate her on a cellular level.

“At night, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her.

“Everyone who’s my age thinks the same way.”
Taking to Twitter to hit back at Jeremy, comedian John, 56, penned: “WTF is this ?? I don’t care who you are or who you work for you simply can not write things like this.
“It is a blatant appeal to incite humiliation and violence on a woman. Some have excused it as dark humour. There is no joke here @JeremyClarkson and no excuse.”

Fans of the Liverpudlian star were quick to get their opinions across too, with one replying: “Not into cancelling anyone but agree with John Bishop this is totally unacceptable to be said out loud or published without consequence for Jeremy Clarkson.
“I am a man of his age but he doesn’t speak for me, ever.”
While a second added: “Fantasising in print about the ritual sexual humiliation of a much younger woman is not ‘dark humour’. It’s nauseating and troubling in equal measure, and that it can get printed in modern-day Britain shames Britain.”

John isn’t the first celebrity to slam Jeremy for his vile rant, with Carol Vorderman being one of the first to address the piece that made it into print.
The former Countdown maths whizz, 61, fumed: “Not on any level, in any circumstance, is it ok to write this stuff about any woman.”
Elsewhere in Jeremy’s scathing rant, he branded Prince Harry the “warrior of woke” and claimed Megan will “damage” the Royal family.
