Kourtney Kardashian says filming KUWTK final scenes became a 'toxic environment'

Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum Kourtney Kardashian has discussed what a “toxic environment” the show became near to the end as she opens up about her experience.

The 42-year-old reality star told Bustle on Thursday: “Shooting our show, it became a really toxic environment at the end for me.

“I would fight with my sisters. There was like just a lot going on. And even for me personally, I wasn’t in the happiest place. I felt like I was almost a character.

“This is Kourtney, and she’s in a bad mood, so even though she was laughing really at lunch, we’re going to cut out the laughing and let’s only use the annoying comment that she said.”

Over time, Kourtney said she realised that being the centre of attention made her feel uncomfortable and led to insecurities and issues with decision-making.

She added: “I was used to always being a b**** and having no feelings.”

The mum-of-three said the break between filming KUWTK and The Kardashians shifted the mindset amongst the group of sisters.

Kourtney began “a therapy journey” after the 14-year 20-season run concluded in June after it made her “really sensitive.”

Going into the new show, Kylie Jenner said she understood that not all of her daughters operated the same way and recognised the boundaries Kourtney had set for herself.

The end of KUWTK was announced in September 2020 and soon after Khloé Kardashian hinted the new Hulu show would drop in early 2022.

In February 2022, Hulu released another clip announcing that “all the walls will be shattered” in the new series, set to release April 14 with episodes dropping every Thursday after.
