BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent has confessed to some bizarre “off-camera” antics with a TV guest.
On Wednesday (May 10), Sally revealed she was chatting to Frankie Goes To Hollywood star Holly Johnson for the moring show.
The band has just reunited for the first time in 20 years to open the Eurovision Song Contest which took place in Liverpool on Sunday (May 7).

Talking to viewers and her co-star Jon Kay, Sally said: “At 7.50 this morning we have a very special chat with Holly Johnson from Frankie Goes To Hollywood, because of course they reformed, didn’t they? For the first time in decades, on Sunday night., to open the whole thing.
“I went over to Liverpool a couple of days ago and met him and had a brilliant time with him. He’s so wise and I had a brilliant day with him we ended up wearing flower crowns and listening to classical music.”
Jon then asked: “What on camera, or later?”
“Later,” the host laughed.
Jon added: “Oh, you went out afterwards, look forward to that, and looking forward to Holly Johnson.”
Later in the BBC episode, Sally plugged her upcoming chat with the star once more and said: “I went and had a chat with frontman Holly Johnson to find out why now is the perfect time for the group to get back together.
“We talked a lot about fashion and ended up in flower crowns so it went quite well.”
However, earlier this week BBC viewers revealed how they were “fed up” of the constant Eurovision coverage on the show and took to social media to moan.
On wrote: “#bbcbreakfast #bbcnews Coronation followed by Eurovision. That’s another week with no serious news content on the BBC.”
A second added: “Does anyone know when Eurovision is on? The BBC have barely mentioned it… #BBCBreakfast”
While a third posted: “Eurovision- This week’s distraction. #bbcbreakfast”
