Bruce Willis’ wife has taken to Instagram to share sweet throwback footage of her legendary actor husband as he battles Frontotemporal Dementia.
The 67-year old Die Hard star, who announced his retirement from acting via a family statement almost a year ago, was diagnosed with the condition last month – after his initial diagnosis aphasia in 2022 progressed.
Now, Emma Hemming, 44, has uploaded a video of a memory on the social media platform – something she joked she hadn’t realised was possible.

“What’s this new Memory thingy on IG!? Omg, my biggest fan. I’m in love with him,” Emma wrote on her story.
The cute clip showed Hollywood actor Bruce declaring that he was ‘crazy’ for his wife’s skincare brand, Cocobaba.
Earlier in the week Emma announced she was working with dementia specialist Teepa Snow, whom she then tagged and bestowed lavish praise on.
“I’m grateful I had the opportunity to work with @teepasnows_pac who has helped me add to my dementia care toolbox,” she said.
“She’s a loving, compassionate and skilled leader in this space who navigates herself with pure empathy. She’s a gift. Head to the link in my bio as her website has a wealth of caregiving information you might find useful too #dementiaawareness #ftdawarness #EndFTD #EveryFTDStoryCounts.”

Aphasia – Bruce’s initial diagnosis – is a condition that impairs language or speech and according to the NHS can be caused by a stroke.
His daughter, Rumer, explained the condition to her followers in an Instagram post, writing that her father’s aphasia was “impacting his cognitive abilities”.
And she followed this up last month with the latest on her Dad’s health, wrintg: “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).
“Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”
