Comedian Lucy Porter was left gutted after she faced a double jaw-dropping loss at auction on Antiques Road Trip.
In the episode – which aired on BBC One on March 4 – hosts Serhat Ahmet and Steven Moore were going head-to-head to buy the best bargain antiques in the hope of making stacks of cash for charity.
The pair were both handed £400 to play with to find the five best trinkets on their three-day road trip before taking their findings to the auction house.

Stopping off in Carmarthen, Lucy and her pro expert Serhat found a selection of Soviet ceramics which included a porcelain doll and a gorgeous red and black vase.
The pair splurged and bought the entire set for an eye-watering £120, but it appeared as though the beautiful collection didn’t go down as well with buys online.
After struggling to convince bidders to go above £50, one customer snatched the bunch for £40 resulting in a disappointing £80 loss for the team.

Utterly gutted with the loss, Lucy asked: “How do you do this the elation to the despair. That is the last time I buy an entire shelf of anything – I swear.”
But things only went from bad to worse after the antiquing duo suffered another major blow with their next lot which was a set of brass lion doorstops that they purchased for £82.
Despite being hopeful that the pair could claw their way back to victory, bidding started for the matching set at £30 and eventually sold for £40.

Still feeling the loss of her earlier purchase, the comic decided to see the brighter side of the auction as she joked: “Anything that isn’t an £80 loss is a win for us now.”
