Love Island can be incredibly dramatic at the best of times, with surprise dumpings and bombshell arrivals at every turn.
While some days in the villa are incredibly busy – namely recouplings famously taking a long time to film, particularly during Casa Amor – not every day is exciting.

The islanders get used to their daily routines, including what has been requested from the producers right down to when they get to relax.
Most of this will remain unseen by the viewers, with only the most dramatic scenes making it to the final cut.
So what are the islanders up to for the other 23 hours in a day? Wellness Experts Eden’s Gate shared their insight into the average day for an islander.
Early rise

One thing the islanders won’t be able to get in the villa is a lie-in – mostly because it wouldn’t make for good entertainment for the show.
The only time the islanders get to spend a little longer in bed is after a recoupling as they can take until the early hours of the morning to film.
Islanders have previously discussed how all the lights come on when producers want the cast to get up, which is why you’ll often see them sporting some sunnies.
Essential debrief

One thing that fans have noticed is included in the schedule for islanders is the famous debrief.
During breakfast – which islanders will sort for themselves – they grab their coffees, or the men will often drop off an iced coffee to the girl they’re coupled up with, and spill the tea.
The debrief is often the time where nicknames for the raunchier activities are founded and details are spilled.
Drama in the villa will often be discussed from both the boys and the girls, before they head off to get ready for the day.
Getting ready

The islanders will often need to get ready multiple times in the day – firstly for the day, then for their evening shindig.
Amy Hart revealed on her TikTok that the girls would usually spend around two hours getting ready and after that filming can continue into the early hours of the morning.
The girls are flooded with all kinds of beauty producers during their time in the villa, from hair products to different kinds of beauty supplies.
Inside the villa is also a stunning wardrobe for the islanders to try on, with regular deliveries arriving each week.
Time off

While islanders don’t get a complete day off, they do have some time away from active recording – though the cameras still operate.
Most days see the islanders have lunch off camera before getting their filming caps back on and heading out on a date or doing a challenge for the whole villa.
But some of their days consist of complete relaxation, with Millie Court previously admitting that they had “chill days” with relaxing activities.
The islanders would also get sweet treats, takeaways and have games by the pool – but on these nights they also sleep in same sex beds and cannot discuss any drama going on in the villa.
Beach Hut

Before heading to bed the islanders will attend the Beach Hut to discuss the events of the evening before they head to bed.
Various things will happen in the Beach Hut, from islanders speaking to the producers about their day, being encouraged to follow their gut and also a live-feed to Aftersun on a Sunday.
The islanders would then wrap up their day by heading to their allocated beds before another busy filming day.
