Emmerdale’s Gail Loman (Rachael Gill-Davis) has been hiding a secret and it has been finally revealed.
The villager has been hiding the fact she has a 13-year-old son called Oscar from her partner Ryan Stocks (James Moore), who is the father of her child. She took a secret phone call in recent scenes of the ITV soap and she met up with mysterious newcomer during Thursday’s (September 21) hour-long episode.
She later met up with a woman called Sophie at the Allotment and she was left shaken after learning that someone called Oscar needed a transplant for Aplastic anemia. It was later revealed that Oscar is Gail’s son who she had over a decade ago with Ryan.

After Sophie revealed that she’s not a match for Oscar, Gail agreed to be tested to become a bone marrow donor but was left baffled at the fact the hospital knew that she wasn’t Oscar’s biological mother.
Sophie explained: “Yeah but I lied. I told them we kept in touch. If they find out today is the first time we met or that I traced you, it’s not allowed. I’d be in serious trouble. Gail agreed: “It’s okay. I won’t land you in it.
The new arrival said: “They just know that your Oscar’s biological mother and that I adopted him when he was a few weeks old. An inquisitive Gail asked “And is Oscar dealing with it okay? Sophie replied: “Yeah he’s keeping positive. He doesn’t let things get to him. It won’t get him down, he’s doing things for other people.”
She continued: “He raised £3,000 for cancer, him and his mates in the summer. A sponsored walk, he came back with blisters, sunburn and insect bites the lot.” However, the conversation appeared too much for Gail and she said: “I’ve got to get back to work but you’ll be in touch right about the test?”
Sophie said “I am sorry. I know I am already asking a lot. I don’t want to drag up the past but they’ll want to test his dad too. Incase your not a match. His name is on the birth certificate, Ryan Stocks. I didn’t want to try and trace him until I’d spoken to you.”

Gail replied: “I’m sure it won’t come to that. “If there’s anyone who’s going to donate it should be me but let’s see if i’m a match first. There’s no need to look for Ryan just yet. We’ll get Oscar through this together, I promise.”
After returning to The Woolpack, Gail received a text from Sophie stating that the appointment had been booked for Gail to visit the hospital to find out if she’s a match for the transplant.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm
