Actress Barbara Bosson has sadly died aged 83.

The Emmy-nominated Hollywood actress passed away on Saturday (February 18) as her director son, Jesse Bochco, shared an announcement.

However, her appearance in Hill Street Blues, which her then-husband Steven Bochco directed, is what she’s most known for, as she remained on the series from 1981-86.

It was during this time that she earned multiple Supporting Actress Emmy nominations every year from 1981-85.

She is survived by her son Jesse, daughter Melissa and two grandchildren.

Following news of her death, tributes have since been shared on social media.
