Opening up about why she signed up for the wild programme, Ella told Daily Star and other press: “I’ve found it really hard to meet guys in the past.
“They either want to keep me a dirty secret or a fetish and I’ve gone through all of my surgery and I thought it would be easier to date when I had it, but that’s not the case.
“I see myself like the other girls but yet I have that label.”
Ella continued: “I can be picky. I love a blonde, Essex boy but I can’t be be picky because not everyone will accept someone like me.
“I hope society changes from watching this because I’ve had the most incredible journey.”
The 2023 cast has been hailed the “most diverse cast ever” and Ella has said that she’s “proud” to be part of the show.
“I’m so proud and when you watch the show you will see everyone has a story.
“Mine’s more shocking because it hasn’t been done before but I’m proud to do it.
“I feel a lot of pressure but I can only be me and little boys and girls who are trans, or want to transition, now have someone to look up to hopefully if I’ve done a good job.
“I’m glad Channel 4 have done it.”
Fans will have to wait and see who MAFS experts Paul C Brunson, Melanie Schilling and Charlene Douglas paired Ella with as she worries if her groom will accept her for who she is – though the pairing has already caused some controversy.

Producers have confirmed in a statement that the groom was told, with Ella’s permission, that his bride was trans before the wedding.
However, Daily Mail have claimed that despite this, viewers will still see the mystery groom in shock when Ella eventually tells him herself.
Channel 4 have said: “In this specific instance, with Ella’s permission, the groom was made aware his bride was trans, to ensure full, informed consent before entering the experiment.”
The statement also said: “No further information was given, and the couple met and married as strangers.
“Our priority during matchmaking is to protect the wellbeing of the cast and create suitable matches that we believe will work and thrive in the outside world and are based on a detailed assessment of individual preferences as part of an in-depth, careful matchmaking process.”
