Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have settled their divorce, with reports claiming the singer is “completely dysfunctional” and blowing through her $60million fortune.
The 42-year-old and her 30-year-old Special Ops: Lioness actor-ex managed just 14 months of marriage, with the pair now only having to wait for a judge to sign off the divorce papers, before they can go their separate ways once and for all.
Sam and his lawyer, Neal Hirsh, opted against contesting a prenuptial agreement, which protects the artist’s $60m fortune, which she’s now allegedly burning through like wildfire.

TMZ have reported that Spears paid Asghari’s rent for his bachelor pad, and agreed to write him a six-figure cheque.
The news of their separation comes shortly after Britney settled her legal battle with her father, Jamie Spears, out of court. The pop star had to pay her dad’s $2m legal fee as well as the $4m she’d already forked out to pay her own legal team.
As per The Sun, the case didn’t go to court because Britney would’ve had to discuss her most embarrassing moments. A source said: “Her legal team decided the focus should be on protecting her from reliving the traumas of her conservatorship.”
For a 13-year period between 2008-2021, Britney’s father served as her conservator. In June, the woman behind hits like Toxic accused her father of “abusive” treatment and misconduct. He was paid $16,000 a month and made a percentage of her tour gross revenues.
However, while the noise on the grapevine suggests Britney is in a financial hole, apparently, the truth is anything but.
The source said: “Britney shut off her Instagram account temporarily to take a break and spend time with her friends after settling the legal battle with her father, Jamie.
“She did what was in her best interests to be done with him forever, and she couldn’t be happier. No one is fearing for Britney, and she is far from going broke. Yes, she needs to curb her private jet usage but she is far from going broke – this is inaccurate.”
While her third marriage was short-lived, it doesn’t even compare to her first. Britney annulled her marriage to childhood friend, Jason Alexander, after just 55 hours. And her second partnership didn’t last particularly long either, with the American calling time on her marriage to Kevin Federline after two years.
In September, TMZ reported that Britney will have to pay her Playing with Fire rapper-ex, $20K per month in child support for their 17-year-old son Jayden Jaymens until June 2025.
