Devastated X Factor star cleared by cops after fiancé’s holiday window fall death

X Factor star Jaymi Hensley has been cleared by police after the death of his fiancé.

The singer, 34, was arrested on suspicion of murder after his fiancé Olly Marmon, 33, fell more than 30ft from their hotel suite window on Sunday night (August 10). He tragically died, just weeks before the couple was due to get married.

Police have now passed the case to the coroner, according to The Sun. No further action will be taken against heartbroken Jaymi, who grew to popularity as part of boy band Union J.

It’s believed that the couple had spent a period of time apart. However they had reunited ahead of their September wedding.

Police have since confirmed the case will not be treated as a murder after results of a forensic post-mortem confirmed Olly’s death was cause by injuries from a fall.

DCI Johnny Campbell said: “It is only right that an incident such as this is treated with the utmost seriousness, to make sure we have done all we can to understand what has happened, and to get the answers those left behind need and want.

“In Olly’s case I can confirm the evidence we have examined did not support his death as a homicide, which has now been further confirmed by the results of the preliminary forensic post-mortem report.

“Our initial findings and decision have been explained to Olly’s family who will continue to be supported by Northamptonshire Police as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
