EastEnders fans make the same demand as three characters sent down in brutal twist

EastEnders viewers have been left demanding the BBC One soap air a series of special episodes set inside the women’s prison as three major characters are now all in the slammer.

On Thursday (September 5), Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) made an unexpected appearance as her comeback marveled into The Six’s ongoing murder plot.

But rather than Chrissie rolling up in Albert Square, she appears behind bars as she is set to come face-to-face with her former adoptive step-daughter Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

Earlier this week, Sharon was held in police custody for contempt of court after losing it in the witness box of Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) murder trial, accusing a judge of ‘slut-shaming’ her.

Sharon now faces a week in prison despite Dean Wicks collapsing the trial following his confession to raping Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

As Sharon settles into her new temporary abode, she is unaware that Chrissie is living next door after being sent down for murder. Chrissie murdered Sharon’s dad Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) back in 2005.

Chrissie bludgeoned her husband Den to death in The Queen Vic, as she confronted her ex-husband with Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) and Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) about his various misdeeds.

At the time, Chrissie let Zoe believe she had killed Den after hitting him during their showdown, when in fact, she had later finished him off herself.

After learning that Chrissie was the real culprit, Sharon played a fundamental part in bringing her to justice, famously punching Chrissie at the scene of her arrest at an airport as she attempted to flee the country.

Sharon and Chrissie are now set to be reunited after 19 years.

But there’s another Walford resident also locked up as Sonia Jackson (Natalie Cassidy) is currently being held on remand on a murder charge.

Sonia is accused of killer comatose Debbie Colwell – a crime her partner Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) has committed but is yet to be exposed.

EastEnders viewers are now requesting the BBC soap airs a min-series set in prison that focuses on Sharon, Chrissie and Sonia that mirrors legendary ITV drama Bad Girls.

Taking to X, one EastEnders fan wrote: “I wouldn’t even complain if #Eastenders had a few actresses from Bad Girls and Wentworth in there for a week. #Sharon #Crissy.”

A second added: “The Bad Girls reboot looks amazing! #EastEnders”, while a third chimed in: “Very excited about the return of Bad Girls. #EastEnders.”

“SPOILER ALERT Bernie, go to Spain and don’t tell the police. It’s “Bad Girls” in EastEnders. This week has been outstanding. #EastEnders”, added another.

“#EastEnders is giving serious Bad Girls vibes for next week. High hopes to say the least. #ChrissieWatts”, added another.

EastEnders continues on Monday, September 9, on BBC One and iPlayer
