Gladiators star is now so famous she gets asked for selfies in the toilet

Gladiators star Fury is now so well-known after her BBC stint that she gets asked for selfies in the loo.

Starring on the hit reboot of the iconic series has made her so famous she gets recognised everywhere she goes these days.

The rugby ace, real name Jodie Ounsley, told us: “I was at an event and I was dying for a wee. But when I got into the toilet, two women stopped me.

“They caught me off guard. I had to say, ‘I’m so sorry but I need to go to the loo’. Of all of the places to be recognised, that was so bizarre.”

Gladiators will be back for a second series, with shooting set to begin this month, with the line-up confirmed – and of course, Fury is back.

Also back in the mix for season two is fan favourite Comet, who was forced to drop out of the first series after breaking her foot and ankle.

Managing Director Hungry Bear Media, Dan Baldwin, said of the show’s return earlier this year: “It’s no exaggeration to say that the response to Gladiators has been phenomenal.

“The episodes have been packed with nail-biting drama, thrilling action and huge emotion. Series 2 will see the show go from strength-to-strength. We have some amazing surprises in store for the fans. Are you ready?!?”

Jodie meanwhile will be back on the box this week as one of the pundits on Channel 4’s coverage of the Paralympics.
