Jeremy Clarkson has been given a roasting about the grub being served up at his new boozer.
Customers at the new Farmer’s Dog pub in the Cotwolds have grumbled about portion sizes, food being served cold and car park prices.
The pub’s restaurant has two menus, a weekday main menu, with British classics like sausage and mash, steak pie and Lancashire hotpot and on weekends a carvery is served between midday and 9pm.
But many have complained they found the price of the £20 carvery lunch hard to swallow, whilst another moaned was a about the lack of vegan options.

One person ranted in an online review: “£2 to park in a field. What pub does that?”
Whilst another said: “Car park was a churned up muddy mess on day 2. I think the whole place is a work in progress and should be better when it’s finished.
“The sausage and mash portion is tiny and overpriced. Production line food which it has to be to cope with the sheer number of customers. Not for me but each to his own.”
More than 100 Google reviews give everything from glowing five stars to critical one-star ratings.
Another diner grumbled about the lack of vegan options and said: “Great idea and love the plan behind it. Disappointing to go and not find a single vegan option though.
“All for backing British farmers, but let’s go forwards rather than backwards. We grow some of the finest produce which can create incredible vegan dishes.”
A reviewer named David added: “First time here the carvery was cold and the veg crumble old and swimming in oil yuck! Sort it out Jeremy also no veggie gravy so extra dry , no coffee served whilst waiting only beer.”
And Griff griped: “Absolutely terrible food for a ridiculous price just for the celebrity label. Definitely not worth a visit- go somewhere proper and local rather than this gimmick.”
But there were also dozens of positive reviews, with a happy customer gushing: “The greatest pub in the world,” while another patron complimented: “Beautiful building, tasteful decor. Stunning views. Lovely people. Marvellous food.”
The pub near Burford, Oxfordshire, opened for business just over a week ago after the former Top Gear host paid around £1m for the rural watering hole.
