A surgeon has weighed in on the “Love Island surgery trends”.
In an exclusive chat with Daily Star, Dr Fadi Hamadani explained: “This trend of undergoing multiple procedures has been growing among Love Islanders over the years, as they strive for a certain aesthetic often popularised by social media.
“While these treatments can provide immediate enhancements, there is a fine line between achieving a youthful look and inadvertently adding years to one’s appearance through excessive or improperly performed procedures.”

The surgery expert explained that the overuse of fillers and other procedures can often lead to a look some may regret, including an “unnatural” face and a “less expressive” appearance that may not have been the intention.
“It’s important to note that while cosmetic procedures can enhance certain features, they can also sometimes lead to an older appearance if not done judiciously. For instance, overuse of fillers can create an unnatural fullness and rigidity, while excessive Botox can lead to a frozen, less expressive look. Same with surgical treatments.”
The surgeon also commented on former Islanders Harriett Blackmore and Samantha Kenny while they were still in the villa: “As a plastic surgeon observing trends among reality TV personalities like Harriet and Samantha from Love Island, it’s likely they have undergone several common cosmetic procedures.”
“Harriet’s face appears slimmer and more lifted and contoured, which could be due to weight loss, but it’s also likely she has had aesthetic treatments such as FaceTite and Morpheus8. FaceTite uses radiofrequency energy to address skin laxity, while Morpheus8 combines micro-needling and radio frequency technology to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, potentially giving her that ‘lifted look.’”
Dr Fadi also said that Harriett “might have opted for rhinoplasty to achieve a more defined nose shape”. On Kenny, Hamadani explained: “Samantha may have chosen lip augmentation with fillers for fuller, more defined lips. Non-surgical treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers are frequently used to reduce wrinkles and enhance facial contours, particularly in the forehead, cheeks, and jawline.’’
