A female news presenter has shared the vile message she received about an outfit she wore while on-air.
Australian journalist Narelda Jacobs is a regular on Network 10. She made her debut over 20 years ago and has been a firm-favourite since.
However, earlier this year, it appeared her choice of outfit on-air left one viewer fuming. So much so, that they sent in a hate email for the entire office to see.

For her appearance at the time, she looked stunning in a plunging beige vest. Narelda, who was the first openly lesbian newsreader in Western Australia, teamed the top with a white printed smart jacket.

And on Tuesday (May 7) Narelda took to her Instagram to share an email of the troll who wrote in to lash out. The email read: “Inappropriate dress sense for reading the news. Cleavage is for the nightclub.”
In her response, Narelda did not hold back. She wrote: “Yes, we still receive emails like this. Yes, it went to the entire newsroom. Yes, I was on air at the time. Yes, it is intended to shame and humiliate me. No, what I’m wearing is not inappropriate but your email sure is.”

Fans rallied around Narelda in support of the journalist. One person said: “File under ‘When you really hate yourself, so you decide to email random strangers to tell them.’”
A second commented: “Some people are sad and small and spray their sad smallness around.” A third penned: “I got the same thing the other day, reading on a day with VERY intense news. Mind blown that people think it’s okay to send that sort of stuff in.”

Another follower wrote: “Normally I’d not care much about an email about this because haven’t we all seen so many of them. What’s great now is that sometimes they get called out. yay.
“You look fabulous and professional. But gosh I am so tired by it all. WTAF? aside from you looking perfect. I mean… Of all the things in the world today to get upset about it’s this?” a fifth penned.
