Phillip Schofield has reportedly branded Holly Willoughby “the witch” in alleged texts with pals.
Phillip and Holly used to be best pals and one of the most beloved TV duos in the country during their time hosting This Morning together. But the pair are no longer friends after Schofield admitted to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague at ITV.
Phillip left ITV in the wake of the scandal and a reported rift emerged between him and Holly. When she returned to This Morning, she told fans she felt “shaken, troubled, let down,” and “worried” for the wellbeing of both Phillip and the younger male.

She said her former co-host hadn’t been telling the truth to his friends, colleagues and fans. And now it’s claimed Schofield refers to Holly as “the witch” in exchanges with his inner circle and believes that she’ brought him down’.
It’s alleged she is known as “the witch” amongst his inner circle, reports the Mirror. It’s also claimed that he uses the hatted hag emoji to discuss Holly if her name ever crops up and messaged her saying she ‘brought him down’.
The source told The Sun: “He dislikes Holly so much now he calls her ‘the witch’ when talking about her and sends the emoji to his mates if she comes up. He messaged Holly and told her, ‘You brought me down.’ He was furious and still is.”
Last year, Phillip revealed he apologised to Holly for lying to her about the affair. He told the BBC: “The last time we had a conversation was when I texted Holly and said, ‘Don’t reply’ – this was after the statement last week – ‘Don’t reply, you’re probably not allowed to, but I am deeply deeply sorry that I lied to you,'”
He said the affair “was the one secret in our sanctuary that was never mentioned”, adding that he has “lost my best friend”. After Schofield’s statement about the scandal, Holly said it had “taken time to process yesterday’s news,” adding: “When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie.”
Schofield, who recently appeared on Channel 5 show Cast Away, said Holly didn’t text him back. He said: “Holly did not know. And she was one of the first texts that I sent, to say, ‘I am so, so sorry that I lied to you’.
“She didn’t reply and I understand why she didn’t reply, as well. So yeah. If anyone is in any way linking Holly to this; that is absolutely, wholly untrue.”
