Phillip Schofield’s daughter Molly has given her dad the seal of approval as he prepares to make his return to TV.
Former This Morning presenter Phillip has been out of the spotlight for over a year after stepping down from the ITV show. He exited the daytime programme in May 2023 amid a scandal that saw him admitting to what he termed an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male staff member.
The question of whether he would return to television has now been answered as this week the star, 62, confirmed he would be back in Channel 5 series Cast Away. The show will see him left alone on a desert island for 10 days, with no food or water.

And Molly, one of his two daughters with Stephanie Lowe, has showed what she thinks by posting a snap from the series on her Instagram Story along with party popper and clapping emojis.
She also shared a clip from the Cast Away teaser trailer, which showed Schofe’s legs walking across the sand but didn’t reveal his face. “I’d recognise those legs anywhere,” the 31-year-old wrote, along with a laughing emoji.
Phillip – who is also dad to Ruby, 28 – announced his TV comeback this week, sharing a picture from Cast Away on Instagram as he told fans: “Now you know how I spent my summer!
“Alone for 10 days, no food, no water, no crew. My story of survival, both on a desert island and off it.”
He also shared a trailer, in which he is heard saying: “I have been cast away on a desert island completely on my own. All I have is camera gear and I can say whatever I want about whatever I want.
“It’s my chance to tell my side of my story,” he went on. “I know what I did was unwise. But is it enough to absolutely destroy someone?”
Phillip tied the knot with Stephanie in 1993. He came out as gay in 2020 but has made it clear that he and Steph are still very close.
Cast Away starts at 9pm on Monday (30 September) on Channel 5.
