The Challenge contestant Olivia Kaiser’s show injuries were so severe that she “popped an implant”.
She told Entertainment Weekly: “It was probably the most dangerous challenge [of the season]. If your feet are still on the wheel, you’re going to fall face first. I broke three ribs and popped my implant, or ripped it, ruptured it, so now I have to get my boobs redone. I was in so much pain. There was no way I could have even competed in the final. I couldn’t even breathe.”

The star said that the incident occurred on this week’s episode of The Challenge: Battle For A New Champion while taking part in a heights challenge involving a spinning wheel. Kaiser also claimed that contestants sustained other injuries that weren’t shown in the show.
Co-star Michelle Fitzgerald also informed the publication about the aftermath of her injuries. The star sustained some broken ribs after losing a challenge and revealed that she was knocked down worse than how it looked on camera.
She said: “It f***ing hurt when I fell and I broke two ribs. I genuinely could not sleep at night. I could barely breathe. You see the pain and it was real pain and Colleen [Schneider] had a full-on concussion. They didn’t show it but she didn’t even remember being up on the hamster wheel.”
The Challenge competitors also spoke out against the show for the brutal apparatus, which came as the last challenge of the show before the finale episode. They both think it gave an advantage to the male competitors as Michele claimed the wheel “leaned into the male’s strengths more than the girls’.”
She continued: “It’s not really much of an equaliser, although we did see a girl win [with Berna Canbeldek], but we also saw every other girl besides Nurys [Mateo] in the loser bracket. So it was a sheisty one to go out on. It’s definitely not the way you want to go out.”
Olivia agreed that the challenge “was not fun” and that the guys can “run for house”. She said that even if the girls were “faster” and “had better balance,” the guys “more than likely would have outrun them”.
