The Traitors’ Claudia slams ‘misogyny’ as Charlotte axed and another male is recruited

The Traitors delivered another unexpected twist when Ross was recruited to join the dark side while Charlotte was sent home packing.

And host Claudia Winkleman was quick to speak out against Traitors Andrew and Harry. She joked that their decision to recruit another male was “just like the olden days”.

You could cut the tension with a knife on Friday’s show (January 19), as the number of people in the game had gone down significantly. After Paul was uncovered in the previous episode, it was up to the remaining faithful to figure out who the other traitors were.

With Charlotte also being murdered from the game, the faithfuls attention soon turned to Charlotte. With the remaining players strongly suspecting that there had been a recruit amongst the Traitors, the tension was rising with Charlotte and Jasmine as they began to suspect each other.

Claudia pointed out the male dominant Traitors

At the Round Table, the heat was on Charlotte and she was later banished from the game. Later on, knowing that the spotlight was safely off of them for another evening, Andrew and Harry decided not to kill another faithful but to seduce and recruit.

Informing Claudia that they were happy to recruit Ross, the presenter was quick to point out a discrepancy. Teasing them, she joked: “Another man! Good, it’s just like the olden days.”

Defending their choice, Andrew replied: “It’s strategic, it’s tactics.” While Harry said: “We’re thinking game here, OK.”

But fans were loving Claudia’s response and applauded her for calling it out. One viewer said on social media platform X and said: “Not Claudia calling out the sausage party that’s been the traitor’s tower.”

Another said: “Bloody love Claudia calling out the misogyny within the ranks!” A third chimed in and wrote: “Claudia CALLING OUT the traitors being all men honestly no other presenter in the UK is better.”

While a fourth added: “OMG not Claudia calling out the sexism!! Brilliant. Definitely think they need to have an all-female group of traitors next season.”

Near the end of the programme, Ross did accept Harry and Andrew’s offer. As they all met in the secret chamber, Ross wanted to find out why they killed Dianne, who is his mother in real life.

Providing him with a rather brash response, Harry insisted that he had to get rid of her, while giving the impression that he was happy to do so. But Harry’s reaction didn’t sit well with and he later promised that he will get his own back.
