Last year, EastEnders fans were introduced to three new members of the Mitchell clan in the form of Teddy (Roland Manookian) and his two sons, Harry (Elijah Holloway) and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman).

Before long, Teddy’s former flame Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) was unveiled to viewers, providing further insight into the family’s history.

From romantic entanglements with Walford locals to taking over Peggy’s Bar, the fresh-faced Mitchells have swiftly made Albert Square their stomping ground, with more thrilling storylines undoubtedly on the horizon.

Taking on the role of eldest son Harry is 26 year old actor Elijah. He honed his craft at Emil Dale Academy before graduating from Rose Bruford College in 2019, reports Plymouth Live.

While EastEnders may be his breakout role, Elijah has previously graced another BBC programme. In 2016, he auditioned for the BBC talent show Let It Shine.

Then an 18 year old luxury perfume salesman, Elijah took to the Let It Shine stage, attempting to win over the judges with his charisma and sales skills, presenting fragrances to the celebrity panel.

His performance involved a pitch to the judges, where he showcased his personality through his descriptions of various perfumes.

Off-screen, Elijah keeps his followers in the loop via Instagram, occasionally posting snapshots from his days out or professional photoshoots.

The up-and-coming star scored a role on EastEnders in 2024, marking it as his major acting break. He shared his excitement and considers it an honour to grace the screens of the BBC soap, expressing his sentiments in a heartfelt comment.

Bagging the part of a Mitchell on the iconic show, he couldn’t hide his thrill, saying, “It’s a massive privilege to join a British institution like EastEnders, and to be playing a Mitchell makes it even more exciting. We’ve been given such a warm welcome, and it’s unbelievable to be turning up to work in Walford every day,” Elijah enthused when reflecting on his new gig.

Describing his character, he revealed: “Harry has a lot of charm and swagger, but he’s got a bit of a temper, too. He can’t resist trouble, or the ladies, so he’s ready to shake things up in typical Mitchell style!”
