BTS announce comeback with album and huge tour

BTS have confirmed a release date for their highly-anticipated comeback album as well as confirmation of a huge world tour

BTS have confirmed they’re back with a brand new album a mammoth world tour.

The K-pop heroes will release their fifth studio album on March 20 with a huge run of live dates to follow – More details of their upcoming tour will be shared on January 14, whilst pre-ordering for the album will open on January 16.

It will be the first release and their first tour since they took a break to complete their individual mandatory South Korean military service in 2022 – All South Korean must do 18 months in the military.

However, most members of the group have embarked on solo journey’s whilst they waited for their bandmates to complete their obligated service and be available once again.

The album is set to reflect “each member’s honest introspection” as they each devoted the second half of 2025 to writing the 14-track-long LP, and “weaving their individual perspectives into the music”.

Ahead of the announcement, BTS sent heartfelt, handwritten letters to ARMY (BTS’ official fandom) worldwide.

The handwritten letters served as the first direct way BTS shared concrete news of their comeback, and they were penned by each member and delivered directly to fans’ homes.

“We’ve waited more earnestly than anyone else,” RM wrote, whilst V said “In 2026, we’ll make even more good memories, so look forward to it!”

BTS’ first teaser came just weeks after they completed their service in June, and they promised via a livestream that they’ll “be visiting fans all around the world” as well as delivering new music in “Spring 2026”.

They’ve also launched a brand new website 2026bts.com where more news will be shared with their following.
