Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen ditched the UK winter chill to welcome the New Year in true A-list style, soaking up the sunshine on a stunning family getaway in Barbados.
The former England and Manchester United ace looked a million miles away from the pressures of football as he relaxed on a sandy beach alongside Coleen, their four sons and extended family members. The loved-up couple appeared totally at ease as they lounged on sunbeds, laughing and chatting while enjoying the laid-back Caribbean atmosphere.
I’m A Celeb star Coleen confidently showed off her toned figure in a bikini as she kicked back with a cold drink in hand, keeping an eye on the family fun unfolding around her. Wayne also appeared in holiday mode, sipping a beverage and embracing the slower pace as the clan made the most of the warm weather.
As the celebrations ramped up, Wayne swapped sunloungers for something a little more thrilling. The football legend was spotted heading out on the water for a jet-ski session, joined by one of his sons and his brother-in-law. Coleen watched proudly from the shore, snapping photos as Wayne showed off his skills on the waves.
After the adrenaline-fuelled ride, Wayne was later seen strolling barefoot along the beach, shirtless and relaxed, still very much in holiday mode. At one point, he appeared to be holding what looked like a snus pouch, which eagle-eyed onlookers also spotted during his jet-ski adventure.
The Rooneys were joined by Coleen’s parents and brother during the festive break, making it a true family affair as they rang in 2026 together. With smiles all round, the group looked to be making the most of some quality time away from the spotlight.
The luxury getaway marks a welcome break for Wayne and Coleen, who have faced intense scrutiny over the years thanks to Wayne’s football career and Coleen’s own high-profile ventures. This sun-soaked trip appeared to be all about switching off, reconnecting and enjoying precious moments together.
