Only Fools and Horses fans flock from around world to see David Jason ‘one more time’

Diehard Only Fools and Horses fans are travelling from around the world to see Sir David Jason, with fears that it could be the final time the Del Boy icon appears in person

A sought-after convention for Only Fools and Horses diehards has sold out in days amid fears it could be the last time Sir David Jason appears in person.

Last month we revealed the 85-year-old Del Boy actor had agreed to appear “one more time” at the annual fan fest event in May (9th and 10th) in Milton Keynes.

But now we can reveal all tickets for the 2026 event including basic general admission options available for £100 up to £450 a pop deluxe packages including the chance to meet and have your photo taken with Sir David in the Trotter flat have sold out entirely.

In a blurb posted online by organisers: “We’re thrilled to announce that the Only Fools and Horses Convention, taking place across 9–10 May 2026, is now completely SOLD OUT.

“To see an event like this sell out so quickly is truly incredible. A television series that first aired over 40 years ago — with no new episodes for more than 20 years — still has the power to bring fans together in such huge numbers.”

Bosses have told fans to ‘watch this space’ in case venue chiefs are able to free up more space to allow extra tickets to be released later this year.

While fan Dean Griffin wrote: “Been trying for years, and finally I get to meet him this year.”

While Benjamin Dack added: “Same here.”

And Alan Garland added: “One of the highlights of the year you know it makes sense.”

While other posts online have stated fans are planning on flying in for the event due to take place at the DoubleTree Hilton in Bucks from as far afield as Alicante in Spain and Gibraltar.

Juan Lu wrote: “I’m flying out from Gibraltar for this.”

While Ben Cumpstone added: “I’m flying in from Alicante as I have done for the last few conventions and always try at the DoubleTree Hilton, great tree.”

Devotees of the long-running show have been meeting for the annual show convention for 30 years to celebrate the much-loved comedy drama written by John Sullivan.

Last month we told how lovers of the show were given a pre-Christmas boost after it was confirmed Sir David, will take part in May’s get together in between dates for his sell out spoken word tour.

Organisers at the Only Fools and Horses Appreciation Society wrote: “One of the main reasons David continues to agree to do these conventions is how genuinely fulfilling he finds them. He understands what the show means to people.

“Not just the character, and not just him, but the programme itself and the place it holds in people’s lives. He’s very aware of the emotional connection fans have, and he sees the responsibility that comes with being the figurehead of that.

“He’s said many times how humbling and rewarding he finds it, and as long as people still want to see him, he’s happy to keep doing it while he can.”
