The Traitors fans have discovered that two contestants on this year’s series knew eachother before appearing on the BBC show – and they’ve even been pictured together
Two Traitors stars knew each other before the BBC show.
The fourth series of the BBC hit kicked off on New Year’s Day, but it seems fans have already revealed a secret link between two contestants. It turns out psychologist Ellie Buckley and Ross Garshong met before the show – and have even been pictured together.
The pair were snapped together in a group photo that was seemingly taken in June 2024. It would mean the photo, taken as part of a team outing for Damo’s Personal Trainers, came a whole year before the pair’s Traitors stint.
Ross, a personal trainer, appears to work at the gym, going by its Instagram page. The group had been dining at Eco Restaurants.
And Ross has his arm around Ellie’s waist in the pic, pretty much confirming they know one another. However, they haven’t yet suggested they know each other on the show.
Fans have commented on the image, which has spread on social media. One sharing the photo wrote: “Confirmed, Ross and Ellie know each other #TheTraitors #TheTraitorsUK., and another penned: “Ooooo well done detectives!”.
Back in March, Ross commented on a LinkedIn post shared by Ellie. He wrote: “Great post!” in response to the post, which was about artificial intelligence.
And in 2023, Ross gave a thumbs-up on Ellie’s LinkedIn post about a London fundraising walk. However, both of these posts have now been removed.
It might even be possible that Ross and Ellie are more than just friends, because they both appeared to go on holiday to Tenerife last year and checked in at the same hotel. And Ross even admitted in the second episode of the show that he had a “secret”.
They’re not the only contestants on this series with a secret link. Judy and Roxy revealed in the first episode that they are mother and daughter, and Ross and Netty met through a mutual friend.
As fans of the show will know, BBC bosses like throwing in contestants who secretly know one another. Alex and Tom revealed they were a couple in the first season.
In the second, it emerged Diane and Ross were a mother-son duo. And last season, Armani and Maia Gouveia revealed to the group that they were sisters.
