Traitors fans work out next victim after first star forced to leave castle

The Traitors viewers are convinced they have worked out one contestant’s fate just two episodes into the BBC series

Fans of The Traitors have already sealed one player’s fate after just two episodes of the BBC series.

The cherished gameshow made its comeback on New Year’s Day, and saw its first series four eliminations this evening (January 2nd).

Presenter Claudia Winkleman revealed her chosen Traitors as Rachel, Stephen, and Hugo in the opening episode, whilst also unveiling a mysterious fourth villain.

Unlike their green-robed counterparts, this additional member wears red, wielding the authority to compile a shortlist of Faithfuls each evening before passing these names to fellow Traitors for their ultimate selection.

During Friday’s instalment, nursery worker Netty became the first casualty of the competition, but not before revealing she knows fellow contestant Ross in the outside world, reports Wales Online.

This revelation sparked immediate suspicion among remaining players, who feared the pair might exploit their bond to conspire against them.

Following Netty’s demise, the Faithfuls’ mistrust has intensified, with Ross enduring intense scrutiny from his castmates who suspect he may have orchestrated his mate’s murder to deflect suspicion.

Home viewers are now certain Ross’s days in the castle are numbered.

Barely moments into tonight’s episode, one supporter posted on X, previously Twitter: “Ross is doomed. No way out of this – even if he stays tonight, the idea will persist and persist until he is gone.”

Someone else chimed in, writing: “Ross, it’s over for you, son. I actually feel bad for him #TheTraitors.”

Meanwhile, a third viewer admitted: “Not gonna lie, I’d also be FUMING if I got on #TheTraitors and then someone I briefly knew 15 years ago turned up, started screaming about it, and completely stifled my game.”

However, other fans have jumped to the London star’s defence, with one posting: “Ross being under fire for knowing someone in the past is unfair tbh I hope he doesn’t go I think he deserves to prove himself #TheTraitors.”

Another supporter argued: “They’re doing entirely too much when it comes to Ross, yes, he’s clearly nervous, but it’s not that deep #thetraitors.”

Despite the mounting suspicion surrounding him, Ross successfully weathered the first roundtable elimination. Instead, it was Judy who found herself ejected from the castle by her fellow contestants.

Nevertheless, fans reckon Ross will remain firmly in the firing line as the series progresses.

The Traitors continues on BBC One tomorrow night at 7.45pm
