Britain’s favourite fox Basil Brush is joining forces with the nation’s favourite newspaper on Thursday.
The children’s TV star will be lending his iconic voice to read some of the Daily Star’s most weird and wonderful tales.
Basil, who is famed for his “Ha Ha Ha! Boom! Boom!” catchphrase, will be taking part in a Facebook Live event – free for readers to watch and join in.
The fabulous fox will be reading through the newspaper in his own signature style and offering his views on the latest goings-on.
And there will be a chance for you to join in and ask him a question which will be put to Basil by our host.
Having more than half a century’s experience under his belt, after first gracing screens in the 1960s, there is is no individual better than Basil to bring you the latest news.
Speaking about the upcoming Facebook Live Event, Basil said: “From one star to another I’m looking forward to nosing through the papers, maybe even reading at the same time and finding some fun stories to share, it’ll be booming marvellous.
“I’ll look forward to finding some fun stories to share with you and lighten up the news, I’ll sink my two front teeth into the story and put my own booming spin on it.
“I’m looking for news to brighten your day, as the physicist says ‘something positive, nothing negative!’ Ha ha boom boom!
“Ask me anything you like , if I answer correctly, I get the prize so make it simple!”
Alongside his turn as a journalist, Basil will be starring in upcoming panto Cinderella at the Theatre Royal Windsor from Thursday November 26 to Sunday January 10 2021.
Speaking about his role in the upcoming production, which also stars Britt Ekland, Steven Blakeley and Kevin Cruise, Basil said: “You shall go to the ball, well you will in Cinderella at the Theatre Royal Windsor!
“A socially distanced panto to make it feel like Xmas in these strange times, it’s a panto that will go with a boom boom ..!
“Can’t wait to start rehearsals , I’m a fox so I don’t have to wear a mask , but I must have my rabies jab! Boom boom.”
