Katy Perry seemed to channel her inner Madonna as she posted a promo snap for the latest episode of American Idol.
For her Mother’s Day push for American Idol, it’s clear the Roar singer took inspiration from the Material Girl star, wowing in a lavender corset mini dress, reminiscent of Madonna’s 1990s style.
However, while the Vogue singer’s corsets tended to sport pointed cups, Katy didn’t follow suit.
Staring straight into the lens of the camera with a seductive glance, one snap showed the full dress while another focused on the star’s bold makeup, complete with luscious lashes.
Her long black hair looked sleek in a high ponytail and the singer’s corset allowed her to show off her various tattoos.
With sun-kissed skin, the star sported a baby pink eye shadow and dangling diamond earrings.
Yesterday was the American star’s first Mother’s Day. Katy shares her one-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with her fiancé Orlando Bloom.
The pair have been engaged since 2019. It’s said that the couple planned to get married in Japan in 2020 but due to the pandemic, plans were put on hold.
It’s clear the pair are as loved up as ever with Katy showing a giant flower heart that had been left waiting for her after she finished the show.
Walking over to the adorable present, she could be hear saying: “oh my god, are you frikin kidding me, Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom.”
Katy, born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson. paid tribute to her own mum in another sweet post. Shortly before American Idol aired, she penned: “Tonight, we celebrate our mamas with contestant dedications to their moms.
“I’m so profoundly grateful for my own mama, Mary, who will be with me tonight @americanidol. Grab your momma or the person you love the most and tune in tonight.”
Later on, as American Idol aired, Katy shared snaps of herself posing with fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
