Susanna Reid admits it’s no secret she has a 'crush' on Good Morning Britain co-star

Susanna Reid has openly admitted to crushing on her co-star Ben Shephard.

The Good Morning Britain star, 51, has worked with the Tipping Point presenter on the ITV breakfast programme since 2014 and has confessed it’s “no secret” that she has a crush on him like plenty of others.

After a newspaper journalist publicly revealed she had a crush on politician Matt Hancock, who recently finished third in the 2022 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of here!, the news anchor compared the two.

“Nobody has to whisper about their crush on Ben like they have to whisper about their crush on Matt Hancock,” she told OK! Magazine.

Chatting about her fondness for her co-star, Susanna added: “Ben lifts my spirits. Whenever I’m weary he makes everything better.”

While Ben, 47, reciprocated this as he gushed: “ She’s never wrong which is really, really annoying.

The TV star, who has been married to Annie Shephard since 2004, continued: “She’s an incredible journalist and brilliant with details – I don’t think I could ever beat her in an argument! I just love working with her, whatever happens we always have a laugh.”

The pair are ambassadors GMB’s 1 Million Minutes campaign which is now in its seventh year and aims to eradicate loneliness in the UK.

Ben, who shares three sons with his wife, admitted he is lucky because he has a big family but says he “really struggles” when they can’t get together over the holidays.

He added: “That’s why the campaign is so vital. Over 400 million minutes have been donated.”

While Susanna has been a lead presenter on GMB for eight years, she recently shared her fears that she will be replaced by England Lioness Jill Scott she was crowned the new Queen of the jungle.

As she chatted to the 35-year-old, the mum-of-three joked: “Would you want to do a stint on Good Morning Britain? You know, I can’t deny that you’re looking very glam, I’m feeling a little bit at risk here.”

But Jill assured her she has nothing to worry about and currently has no plans as she settles into retirement.
