Celeb Big Brother chaos as backdoor eviction result leaked to side show audience

Celebrity Big Brother has been thrown into chaos after audience members discovered who has been secretly given the boot from the show.

The ITV reality titan is wrapping up on Friday (March 22), with six housemates currently in contention to win the show. These current housemates are Nikita Kuzmin, Louis Walsh, Fern Britton, David Potts, Bradley Riches and Colson Smith.

However, following the last double eviction of the series on Tuesday (March 19), bosses revealed a twist that would see one of the final six fall at the final hurdle. Following Zeze Millz’s eviction from the house, hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best exclusively revealed there would be a backdoor eviction taking place on Wednesday (March 20), with the vote to win freezing at 6pm, and the housemate being given the secret boot that evening.

As a result, Big Brother’s side show Late & Live was filled with secrecy as speculation was rife as to who had received the fewest votes to win and therefore kicked from the show. In a bid to keep the name of the unfortunate housemate under wraps, ITV bosses did all they could to avoid spoiling the result.

This included taping up the entirety of the show’s gallery which can be seen in the background of the studio for Late & Live. As well as this, the live feed that has been keeping thousands of fans up to date on what the housemates have been getting up to for the evenings was pulled from ITV’s website in order not to spoil who went home.

But it seems that the channel was unable to fully stop the leak, as some audience members were spoiled over who had been given the boot from the house. At the end of Late & Live on Wednesday night, producers began to tear down the blackout whilst the audience members continued to file out of the studio.

As a result, some eagle-eyed fans were able to pick up on who was still in the house and as a result, were given the secret information about who had been given their marching orders through the diary room. Whilst some fans were quick to have a laugh about the unfortunate mishap, ITV were quick on the ball to stop any potential leaks, forcing the fans to sign a non-disclosure agreement, gagging them from revealing the result.

Speaking to The Sun, an insider close to the show said: “The backdoor eviction was being kept so top secret that only a select number of crew working on Celebrity Big Brother knew. Bosses had made sure the gallery, which is visible in the Late and Live studio, was covered up so the audience and fans at home couldn’t watch the monitors and guess the result.

“But after AJ Odudu wrapped the episode the crew immediately started to remove the blackout sticker, making the gallery once again visible and eagle-eyed fans caught glimpse of the live feed,” the source continued. “While the audience thought it was amusing bosses held them back and forced them to sign NDAs, preventing them from revealing the result – or even mentioning the mishap.”

The first winner in five years will be crowned in a lavish ceremony to be held on ITV1. Irish music mogul Louis Walsh is currently the favourite to be declared the winner.

Daily Star has contacted ITV for comment.

The final of Celebrity Big Brother airs on Friday, March 22 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
