EastEnders viewers have been left urging Sharon Watts (played by Letitia Dean) to bring her cellmate Dor back to Walford upon her release.
Sharon has found herself locked up in prison for a week after being taken down for contempt of court. But while banged up, Sharon came face-to-face with Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman), her former stepmum.
As the two women spoke for the first time in 19 years, they appeared to have a heart-to-heart where Sharon seemed to forgive Chrissie for killing her dad Den Watts (Leslie Grantham).
But Chrissie was pretending to have Sharon’s back, secretly ordering a fellow inmate to teach her ex-step-daughter a lesson. Luckily, Sharon has found an unlikely friend in her cellmate Doreen (Sonia Ritter) and even joined her working in the laundry.
When an aggressive woman, Angel, began terrorising Sharon, Chrissie made a show of warning her off, quietly warning her that this was not the time or place to carry out their plan.
Chrissie allowed Sharon to think she was supporting her, so Sharon headed to the laundry room to keep her head down. But when left alone, she was cornered by the menacing inmates, who held up a weapon as Sharon pleaded for her life.
When Angel called Sharon “Princess”, she wondered where they had heard her nickname, unaware that Chrissie had put the pair up to this.
Later a riot broke out, leaving Chrissie free to grab Sharon and take her prisoner, so to speak, in another cell.
“You know me, I never forget a grudge,” said Chrissie, before holding up a weapon and declaring it was time to make Sharon pay.
However, despite all the prison drama, Doreen appeared to win over EastEnders fans who want her to be a regular cast member.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: “Can someone break ar Dor out of prison and make her a main character #Eastenders.” (sic)
A second added: “Obsessed with Dor. Need Sharon to bring her to the square like Stacey did with Eve #EastEnders.” (sic)
A third stated: “Few months time, I want Doreen Coleman to rock up in Albert Square looking for Shazza when she’s been freed from HMP Walford. Get ar Dor in the laundrette ASAP #EastEnders.” (sic)
“Our Dor needs protecting at all costs. #EastEnders”, added another. (sic)
