X Factor legend Alexandra Burke has revealed a blunder that left her red-faced on stage.
The singer, 36, spoke exclusively to Daily Star as she promoted the launch of the Haliborange Theatre of Dreams. As she is inspiring kids’ confidence to grow, we also touched upon some rather embarrassing moments from her own career.
Alexandra told us: “An embarrassing moment was when my outfit ripped on stage. I was very happy in life and put on some lovely, happy weight, and the dress just ripped, and it was in front of thousands of people.

“There were about seven or eight people that had to come and fix that dress within 14 seconds in order for me to perform because the show didn’t have a show stop. But the excitement got me going, it was when I was in The Bodyguard.
“What I’m trying to say is, when these embarrassing moments happen in people’s lives, don’t take yourself too seriously. That’s also a message for kids who read this, hopefully, or their parents read this.
“Don’t take yourself too seriously. Life is to be enjoyed. Life is to laugh, live and love. And when the embarrassing moments come, if they are clumsy moments, great, whatever. Take it on board. Take it with a pinch of salt and keep it moving. It doesn’t matter. It’s not it’s not as serious as you think it is.”
Alexandra is currently working with Haliborange who have found that 95% of parents wish for their child’s creativity and aspiration of dreaming big to remain present as they get older and grow into adults. Haliborange is encouraging kids to dream big with the support of their Haliborange x Disney range and partnership with Alexandra Burke for the launch of the Haliborange Theatre of Dreams to help inspire healthy habits.
Continuing about the campaign, Alexandra said: “No dream is ever too small, and it’s just incredible just to be a part of this wonderful campaign and the workshop as well that’s going to happen with the Theatre of Dreams workshop that’s happening in the half term, encouraging all these young kids, all these young children, to reach their full potential.”
Alexandra Burke partners with Haliborange to help encourage children to dream big, and get creative and curious at the Haliborange Theatre of Dreams this October Half-Term.
