A friend of Noel and Liam Gallagher’s reckons a new Oasis album might be on the cards, with Noel writing songs and Liam’s voice getting more depth to it17:07, 08 Sep 2025A new Oasis album might not be such an impossible dream(Image: AFP via Getty Images)A new Oasis album is definitely maybe on the cards following Noel and Liam Gallagher’s blockbuster reunion gigs. The band’s snapper Kevin Cummins has revealed Noel has been writing songs on tour and Liam has toned down his “frontman ego”.He said: “I don’t see why they couldn’t get in the studio and record a new album. Noel is writing songs all the time, and Liam’s voice is well suited to what Noel writes.“Liam’s voice is better than it was. It’s got more maturity, more depth to it. Noel is a great guitarist, and sometimes he’s just looking at Liam thinking ‘He’s fantastic!’A pal of Noel and Liam’s says there’s a ‘fondness’ between them on stage(Image: undefined via Getty Images)“He kind of forgets that he’s on stage with him. Liam’s matured a lot. He’s quite self-deprecating.“There’s a lot of fondness on stage between them.”He said there had been no evidence of the “resentment” between the brothers on tour that culminated with a backstage bust-up in Paris in 2009.And he reckons the end of the tour in November was “not the end” for the band. The 72-year-old added: “Next year there’s a documentary about them getting back together.“So while that’s showing and people have still got the bug of Oasis in them they could be in the studio.”If his predictions are correct then it would be the first Oasis studio album for 17 years. The photographer is promoting his book Oasis: The Masterplan, celebrating his images of the group he has taken since the early 90s.Article continues belowWant all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Beyonce and husband Jay-Z are in the final stages of buying what will be an £18million property in the Cotswolds, not far from Jeremy Clarkson and the Beckhams16:52, 08 Sep 2025Jay-Z and Beyonce are set to buy a property in the Cotswolds(Image: AFP via Getty Images)Beyonce and Jay-Z are set to splash out on a mega £18million estate near Jeremy Clarkson. The showbiz couple are in the final stages of owning 58 acres in the star-studded village in the Cotswolds. The village of Wiggington is near the Clarkson’s Farm presenter and the Beckhams. And the land has clinched planning permission for a “spectacular rural estate”.Property consultant Owain Jones said the guide price was £7.5m but when the gaff has been built it’s set to “be worth north of £18m”.He added: “The appeal is self-evident: absolute seclusion balanced with seamless access to a curated lifestyle.Jeremy Clarkson could soo have some new A-list neighbours(Image: Getty)“This location places you at the heart of the Cotswolds’ most refined community. It is the complete package, land, lifestyle, and legacy in a form that almost never reaches the market.”Architectural designs show the mansion could boast seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and rooms overlooking a lake.“The area is fast becoming the Hamptons of the UK and there’s a reason for it,” Jones added. The couple’s first look at the land outside Wigginton was earlier this summer during a break from Queen B’s megabucks Cowboy Carter tour. But locals are worried about the attention the power couple will bring.Jay-Z and Beyonce could count the Beckhams as neighbours too(Image: Instagram/brooklynpeltzbeckham)A bar worker said: “We love our local clientele and we don’t want the couple’s arrival to bring in a different sort.”And local Thomas Winter, 30, said: “The prices of everything have gone up a lot and people tend to stick another two zeros on to things such as fixing fencing or walls just because of where we live.“If I wanted to buy a larger property around here then I wouldn’t be able to afford it as these celebrities have priced me out.”But another resident said the Crazy in Love singer, 44, would be a “great addition” and they were looking forward to seeing her at the village fete.Article continues belowWant all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Pink fans gobsmacked after learning ‘raunchy’ reason she chose stage name

Pop star Pink turns 46 today and many of her supporters have been shocked after discovering the backstory of her stage name – and it turns out it’s quite raunchy15:03, 08 Sep 2025Updated 15:06, 08 Sep 2025The real reason why Pink adopted her stage name made a lot of fans blush(Image: Daniel Knighton/Getty Images)Pink, who continues to delight her die-hard fans with her music, daredevil persona and jaw-dropping live performances, is celebrating her 46th birthday today. But many of her fans are only just discovering the meaning behind her the pop superstar’s stage name.Fans flocked to Reddit to give their thoughts on the real reason why the singer, born Alecia Beth Moore on this day in 1979, adopted her colourful moniker. But as will be revealed below, her supporters were left screaming “What the fuchsia?” on uncovering the raunchy back story. The development is a welcome change to the alarming image she posted on her Instagram page last week, in which she was pictured hooked up to an IV drip. Pink had suffered a nasty bout of E.coli while on holiday with her family, but she brushed off the illness in her trademark acerbic style.”When you go on vacation and have food and E. coli decides to move into your gut you kill it with friends and daughters and red wine and a vitamin IV concoction,” she quipped. “Ahhh life and lemons and lemonade and great memories that I might remember.”Pink didn’t leave her fans hanging around on why she gave herself that name(Image: Daniel Knighton/Getty Images)Meanwhile, her fans had been throwing around reasons as to why the singer chose Pink as her stage name. Some people guessed she was simply partial to the colour pink or that she named herself after a L’Oreal hair colour type, but the real inspiration behind her name is somewhat saucy.According to a snippet on Life and Style, later echoed on IMDb, it reads: “I thought Pink got her name from her infamous hair colour. Anyone else? No? Ok.”Turns out, Alecia Beth Moore didn’t get her inspo from a bottle of L’Oréal. Instead, the What About Us singer dreamt up the moniker while watching Reservoir Dogs – and the meaning is actually as raunchy as hell.”Pink revealed: “My best friend had never seen a white girl’s vagina before so he asked me if I could see it, so I showed it to him and he said ‘It’s pink!’ Then my friends started calling me ‘Mr. Pink’. If you’ve never seen Quentin Tarantino’s violent film, Steve Buscemi’s character is also named ‘Mr. Pink’.”She did admit that her choice of stage name hasn’t exactly been met with universal approval, adding: “I’ve been on the receiving end of grumbles for a good while now. I’m OK with it.”This bombshell left one Reddit user completely gobsmacked: “And I thought all along it was her pink hair.” Another speculated: “Isn’t it because she used to blush easily as a child?”Article continues belowA third joined in: “She told Radio Disney it was because of her blushing. That was the family safe explanation. She also said it’s a vagina reference.” However, another suggested: “I think she concocted that tale just so she could dub herself Pink.”Pink’s last album Trustfall came out in 2023, the latest in a long line of releases since she first burst onto the scene aged 15 as a member of short-lived girl group, Choice. Her career rocketed when she went solo in 2000, with her LPs Can’t Take Me Home, Missundaztood and Try This cementing her as a pop powerhouse.Pink is also an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and her music resonates strongly with many people in the community. She once told Gay Times: “I think [my LGBTQ+ following] just speaks to who I am and what I believe in, and what I’ve always been. I am definitely an ally and to be understood for that is a wonderful feeling. For any of us to be understood, that’s what we want in life, right? We want to love, be loved and be seen.” More
