Jessie J health update as star prepares for first show after cancer surgery
Jessie J was recently diagnosed with cancer and has already undergone surgery as she gears up for her first performance just three months after her diagnosis12:34, 05 Sep 2025Jessie J is set to perform just three months after her cancer diagnosis.Earlier this year the pop star told fans that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and underwent surgery after finding a 4 to 5cm lump. She later chose to put her career on hold to prioritise her health.Jessie expressed her sorrow that the devastating disease had “robbed her of memories” with her young son and the Price Tag singer opted for a mastectomy as part of her treatment plan, foregoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Unfortunately, Jessie was recently admitted to hospital due to an infection and fluid in her lungs. Speaking to The Sun, he said: “She’s all right and she is feeling really positive,” reports the Mirror.”She just needs to focus on her health and then feel ready for the tour. It’s a homecoming. I’m definitely not missing that.”The singer is already planning her first performance(Image: Getty Images)Jessie had initially planned to tour in October, but her dates have now been postponed until next year due to additional surgery. Last month, Jessie said: “Unfortunately, I have to have a second surgery – nothing too serious, but it has to be done by the end of this year.””This falls in the middle of the tour I had booked. Jessie has been transparent about her breast cancer diagnosis and has consistently updated her supporters on her condition.During her appearance on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, the singer revealed: “Yesterday I sobbed. I feel like I can’t be a mum to my son, and I miss him. I feel like cancer has robbed me of memories with my boy.
