She later chose to put her career on hold to prioritise her health.Jessie expressed her sorrow that the devastating disease had “robbed her of memories” with her young son and the Price Tag singer opted for a mastectomy as part of her treatment plan, foregoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Unfortunately, Jessie was recently admitted to hospital due to an infection and fluid in her lungs. This apparent setback might well have been a stroke of luck, as it ultimately guided him back towards his musical roots.George, 32, first burst onto the British entertainment scene in 2012 when he auditioned as a solo act on The X Factor. Despite being knocked out during bootcamp, he was brought back for judges’ houses as part of boyband Union J. The group eventually finished fourth in the competition.The performer then entered the jungle for I’m a Celeb in 2015, securing second place. Twelve months later, he departed Union J to chase acting and broadcasting opportunities, spending fourteen months on The Capital Breakfast Show and making guest appearances in programmes such as Benidorm, but his television work has since become increasingly sporadic.George Shelley opened up about his spending(Image: BBC)Currently, he’s part of new group Lightlines, though he’s disclosed that prior to this venture, he was grafting in a coffee shop after squandering all his music and television earnings. Speaking to The Sun, he revealed: “Last year I was just grafting a lot, doing a lot of social media for other people, video editing and coffee shop work.”He confessed he wasn’t particularly skilled as a barista and frequently damaged equipment, explaining he had to take the work because he’d “given up” on music. “I did smash a lot because I’m quite high energy. I’m always knocking things over and slipping over. I’d given up on music.”However, it was his job at Chi Chi’s coffee shop in Enfield, North London, that steered George back to his musical roots, introducing him to his Lightlines bandmate, Alex Pothecary, reports the Mirror.Alex, who happened to be George’s boss, discovered his new barista was a renowned singer. Upon this revelation, Alex, who holds a Masters in musical composition, and George began jamming together.Soon after, George crossed paths with the third member of Lightlines, drummer Will Jackson, in another coffee shop, forming their trio. “The songs that I write by myself, they’re very introspective and deep,” George shared.George was part of Union J”And when I realised these boys could play guitar and drums, I was like, ‘This feels really right’.”In July of this year, they launched their first single, Wasted. In this debut track, George croons about “pills and bars” and “getting wasted”, drawing from his personal experiences following the loss of his sister Harriet in 2017.”When my sister passed away, dealing with the grief on top of the rejection of the industry, it was a lot. My coping mechanisms were toxic for a long time and I was just in the wrong environments.”Now, George embraces periods of total sobriety to concentrate on his music. Reality TV star Katie Price has admitted that she is concerned a “rare cancer” she was diagnosed with over two decades ago has returned and shared her worrying symptoms with fans11:24, 05 Sep 2025Katie Price is terrified her cancer has returned.The 47-year-old reality TV star has revealed that she has undergone tests for a pain in her finger, over two decades after she first battled cancer in the same digit.While on her podcast, Katie and sister Sophie told fans that she has had blood tests and doctors discovered she has a low blood platelet count.”I’m tired, no energy. [The doctors] said it can affect that and I think you might have to have a blood transfusion to get [the platelets] back up again, so I’ve got to go back and have my bloods done again.”Katie was first diagnosed with cancer back in 2002 when she was pregnant with her first child Harvey. Medical professionals found a rare form of cancer in the soft tissue on her finger and recently opened up about the ordeal with her podcast listeners.Katie was first diagnosed with cancer 23 years agoShe explained: “For some who didn’t know, when I was pregnant with Harvey I got a cancer called leiomyosarcoma. If you look at my finger, there is like a hole there and a scar there, I had it cut out twice. Can you see that dent? It never hurt.””But a lump started coming up and I thought I had been riding and done something to my finger. Mack had previously been shot with an arrow and struck with a rock, leading fans to believe he was dead.However, Mack is alive and John is ‘aiding him’ but refusing to let him leave, aware that he knows all his dark secrets. The latest episode saw Mack desperate to escape, knowing his best mate Aaron Dingle is now also in danger as his husband John has started drugging him.Mack informed John about Aaron’s affair with his ex Robert Sugden, John’s brother, and in an attempt to regain control over Aaron he began drugging him. This caused Aaron to collapse and have a seizure in the woods.Mack had barely escaped when he was stopped by John, who noticed his escape on the camera he’d installed. As John pledged to prevent Mack from leaving, he was distracted by Aaron shouting his name in distress, reports the Mirror.As Mack told him he needed to go and save Aaron, John hit him over the head with a rock to stop him from going anywhere. They’ve now taken to social media to air their grievances, criticising Katie’s apparent “lack of accountability and professionalism”.In a Facebook post, they stated: “Milton Keynes Pride Festival is a not-for-profit organisation. The official afterparty was booked and promoted as a fundraising event, with Katie Price contracted as the headline performer.”Despite repeated attempts of contact to fulfil this agreement, her management has confirmed she will not be honouring her booking. This decision was made at short notice and is entirely outside of our control.”The decision was made last-minuteThe group continued: “As a Pride organisation, we are committed to transparency. For context, much has already been reported in the media about Ms Price’s approach to her professional commitments.”, reports the Mirror.”While our community has consistently supported her, it is deeply regrettable that this support has not been reciprocated. Choosing not to meet her obligations to a charitable Pride event demonstrates a lack of accountability and professionalism, and we share in the community’s disappointment.”The organisers went on to request patience from revellers whilst they search for a substitute act. Nevertheless, they assured that Katie’s pullout wouldn’t spell disaster for the afterparty.”The afterparty will still proceed as planned at Pink Punters and we are currently working on a replacement for Katie Price,” the statement added. “Please allow some time for us to do this, and an announcement will follow shortly.”All ticket holders are encouraged to retain their tickets in support of the main Milton Keynes Pride Festival remaining free for all to attend. First up are friends Jake, 27, and Callum, 31, from Glasgow.We’ve also got the Gordon family from Surrey. The Gordons are comprised of 49-year-old Andre and 47-year-old Sarah, and their 25-year-old daughter Chee. Tom felt at the “centre of the world” supporting Billie on the road but was glad she was doing the hard work of selling tickets. In the first six or seven years of my career you just wanted to keep the party going. Which is fine for a bit, but it’s better to kind of come down. Now I do quite a lot of meditation and stuff like that. I’m like a monk.”Tom’s no slouch though with over 14 billion career streams already.
