Emily Atack shot to fame after appearing on The Inbetweeners where her character was best known for her large bust.
Now, the actress has spoken out about the reputation the hit comedy gave her and the lasting impact it had and how she planned to steer away from her character.
Emily, 31, first appeared on the show back in 2008, taking on the role of Charlotte ‘Big Jugs’ Hinchcliffe before the show came to an end in October 2010.
While appearing on Thursday’s Christmas edition of The Jonathan Ross Show, Emily spoke candidly about her career which has rocketed in recent years.
Eight years after the end of The Inbetweeners, the chance arose for Emily to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! sparking a new lease of life in her.
Speaking to Jonathan, she said: “The wonderful thing about the jungle [I’m A Celebrity] was it gave me this whole new lease of life in my career, for years I was known as ‘Charlotte Big Jugs from The Inbetweeners’.

“That was fine and that was fun but I got to a point where things start drooping down a bit, I needed a new medium to say the things I wanted to say.”
She added: “I thought by doing the jungle it would show a little bit more who I am as a person. It’s very easy to be categorised when you do lads’ mags and all that kind of stuff. I thought for years people have been talking about my body, my sexuality, what I look like, my career became very much about what I looked like, so I thought, what better way – when the jungle came knocking – to show what I have as a person and what more I have to offer.”

Despite wanting to move away from her sex symbol status, the comedian admitted that she is proud of her achievements.
“I’ve got the FHM plaques on my wall and I’m very proud of them,” she said.
While I’m A Celebrity is known for producing famous ‘shower scenes’ following Myleene Klass’ famous white bikini, this was something Emily was not keen to be a part of.
“I wasn’t the goddess in the shower in the bikini, I was the freckled-faced idiot running around with no care in the world,” she told.
Although the London-born star may put on a brave face through her work, she admitted there are still times when she doubts herself.
“I YouTube clips of myself in the jungle, I remind myself who I really am and how strong I can really be and who I really am as a person. It’s the happiest I’ve ever been and the strongest I’ve ever been. I go back to that whenever I’m feeling some self-doubt,” she admitted.
The Jonathan Ross Christmas Show airs Thursday, December 24, at 10pm on ITV
