Good Morning Britain presenter Laura Tobin was defiant on Thursday’s show, ignoring Piers Morgan ’s miniskirt snub and opting to wear a cropped burgundy gown.
Complete with dramatic shoulders, draped sleeves and an A-line flare, the wine-red dress fell to her knees as she shared the weather forecast with viewers.
Laura, 39, paired the look with some stiletto heels and bare legs, her brunette locks blown out in waves.
Predicting chills to come, she said: “Cold and frosty is the name of the game this week.
“Dig out those winter weather gears because you will need them.
“And maybe some sunshine too! Because there may be some sunshine later today.”
Watching from home, viewers wee smitten by her sense of style, as they took to Twitter to praise the autumnal look.
One said: “Switching on the TV to see the gorgeous Laura Tobin on my screen, lovely way to start the day.. #GMB
“I have a major girl crush on Laura Tobin on #GMB,” wrote a second.
“Them legs Laura,” added a third.
The chic wardrobe choice comes one day after Piers, 55, accused her of dressing for a “bikini competition” in a cropped skirt.
When Andi Peters appeared on the screen, doing a segment from London Bridge, he was visibly shivering with the cold.
Using the moment to take a swipe at meteorologist Laura, Piers said: “Talking about cold, Laura’s walking around like she’s in a bikini competition.”
Susanna was quick to defend her co-star, pointing out Laura had paired the skirt with a glamorous blue blouse, adding: “Well, she’s warm up top.”
Able to hold her own, Laura hit back: “Andi Peters is not the person to rely on for weather updates it’s me and it’s mild out there this morning.”
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV
