I'm a Celebrity prepare for iconic Cyclone challenge as new pictures expose set

Pictures from the set of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! have revealed the show are seemingly preparing for the iconic Celebrity Cyclone.

The trial is beloved by viewers, and sees the campmates attempt to retrieve gold stars from a slippery hill while being blasted by wind, foam and balls.

Dressed as superheroes, the celebrities always look forward to this fun challenge as no critters are used.

As a result of the coronavirus travel restrictions, this year’s series is being filmed at Gwrych Castle in Wales and fans were worried the cyclone challenge would be cancelled as a result of the new location.

However, it seems the trial is happening as wind generators were reportedly seen being delivered to the site last week.

New photos of the castle appear to show reparations for the exciting challenge.

But ahead of what is undoubtedly the celebs’ favourite trial, a teaser clip of Wednesday night’s gruesome challenge has been shared as Mo Farah and AJ Pritchard took on Game of Grones – and it doesn’t look quite as enjoyable.

The spoiler clip sees Mo and AJ sat back to back on thrones as they wear goggles.

In the hilarious video, Dec asks the pair if they have a strategy for the challenge.

A nervous Mo says: “Yes we do”, but before he says anything else, he’s given a fright.

The athlete is left screaming when a leaf falls onto him, and he think it’s a creepy crawly.

Ant and Dec fall into hysterics as they tell him it’s just a leaf.

Viewers will have to wait until tonight to see more of AJ and Mo’s I’m a Celeb trial.

On Tuesday, Jessica Plummer and Russell Watson became the fifth and sixth celebrities to be evicted from the reality show.

They left after Hollie Arnold, Ruthie Henshall, Victoria Derbyshire and Beverley Callard were voted off.

I’m a Celeb continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
