I'm A Celeb's Beverley Callard's hubby admits he's proud of 'mega-sh*g' nickname

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! turned into a bliss of intimate chaos this week after Beverley Callard revealed some cheeky truths about her marriage.

The former Coronation Street actress, who played Liz McDonald and also played Flo Henshaw in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, is currently one of the 12 campmates taking on Bush Tucker Trials in Wales.

And this week, during a conversation with Vernon Kay, she disclosed she has a very saucy nickname for her hubby.

Describing her man proudly as “gorgeous”, she recalled how she calls him her “mega-sh*g” during the hilarious conversation with the comedian.

It led to presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly asking viewers to make the moment trend on Twitter – which it did.

Jon, who owns a recording studio and a photographic studio in Media City, has now spoke out about the nickname.

In response to Ant & Dec tweeting “#MEGASH*G”, Jon initially wrote “Thanks for that!!”.

He has since shared a number of tweets about the epic nickname.

Jon also changed his display picture to a snap of him grinning with ‘Mega-sh*g’ Photoshopped onto his jacket.

“Finally got a road name I can be proud of!!” He tweeted alongside the image.

“Thank you @Beverleycallard @imacelebrity @antanddec #MEGASHAG #ImACeleb2020 QFFQ”

The pair have been married for 10 years and Beverley says he is her “best friend”.

Beverley first met Jon in Spain at a time when she was taking a break from the Cobbles to pursue her career as a fitness instructor.

Her pupils were adamant that Jon would be the perfect match for her but she wasn’t impressed when she first laid eyes on him during their blind date.

“I had decided all men are b*****ds by that point,” she previously told the Mirror. “I just wasn’t interested in meeting someone.

“When I saw Jon with his shaved head and gold tooth I wasn’t impressed but within minutes we were chatting away. We went on to sit together at dinner and we got on like a house on fire.”
