Michelle Keegan self isolating after being exposed to Covid on photoshoot

Michelle Keegan has been forced to enter a two-week isolation period after she came into close contact with coronavirus.

The Brassic actress didn’t contract the deadly virus but was exposed to it during a photoshoot in Manchester last month.

Michelle, 33, is currently filming for the third season of Sky hit Brassic and is believed to have taken a break from her work commitments in order to isolate at her home in Essex.

It’s been reported by MailOnline that the former Coronation Street star had to miss “one day of filming” but despite this, the schedule of the show hadn’t been affected “too much”.

“Michelle had to take time away from the Brassic set once again and has been laying low in Essex with her husband Mark Wright,” a source told the publication.

They went on to say: “She only missed one day of filming. But she needed to isolate after she came into contact with someone in Manchester who had it.

“Luckily it all happened very quickly and Michelle did not return to the Brassic set before isolating. So it didn’t affect filming too much.”

It’s believed that Michelle will return to filming at a date later this week.

This, however, is not the first time Brassic’s filming came to a halt – in September production came to an end after a member of the crew on the show tested positive.

At the time, an insider told The Sun: “The safety of the cast and crew is of the utmost importance so until bosses know it’s totally safe filming won’t be going ahead.”

Michelle and former TOWIE star husband Mark have been using their spare time to decorate their swanky home as they prepare for the festive holidays.

The keen footballer, 33, showed off their decorations on social media earlier this week after transforming their mansion into a picturesque winter wonderland.

Michelle and Mark have placed a huge Christmas tree in their hallway, complete with red and white decorations including candy canes, baubles and festive lights.

Daily Star Online has approached representatives for Michelle Keegan.
