Ruth Langsford risks wardrobe malfunction on Loose Women as she grabs bra

Ruth Langsford nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction on Loose Women this week, as she realised she needed a “support bra” during her dance session.

The presenter was joined by Strictly pro Anton Du Beke on the show, as the pair reminisced over their partnership on the BBC One dance competition in 2017.

Proving she was still a talented dancer, Ruth decided to take to the floor to showcase her Charleston, expertly jiving her feet in the studio.

In her hand, she held a wooden broom with a photo of Anton sellotaped to the top, as her Loose Women panellists cheered her on from their seats.

However, Ruth started to panic ever so slightly in the middle of the dance, grabbing her chest as she fretted over whether her bust had stayed in place throughout the routine.

She exclaimed: “I did have a better support bra than this one on the day.”

Anton wasn’t fussed, as he waved a scorecard and praised her dancing skills, delighted to see she remembered the complicated choreography.

Ruth and Anton sailed through the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, only to be eliminated in week seven.

Chatting with her old pal on today’s Loose Women, Ruth was reminded of the moment Anton fell during their performance, much to his embarrassment.

The pair had been doing the Paso Doble before the panel of judges, only for Anton to flop to the floor – leading to some quick thinking from Ruth.

Hoping to save his humiliation, she jumped onto the floor after him, covering his body with her own in an effort to make the fall look intentional.

Laughing over the mishap, Ruth then tried to reenact the fall on today’s Loose Women, as she lay on top of the broom on the floor.

Explaining the blunder, she said: “I thought ‘oh no, I’ll just cover his embarrassment’.”

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
