Tipping Point fans have been paying tribute to a contestant from Wednesday night’s show had sadly died after filming for the show.
Wednesday night’s players were Angie, Chris, Keri and Alan, and the show’s official Twitter account announced that Alan had died.
The account wrote to its 14,800 followers: “After the recording of today’s programme, we spoke with Alan’s family who shared the sad news of his passing.
“Everyone at Tipping Point would like to extend their sincerest sympathies.”
Tributes began pouring in immediately from dedicated Tipping Point fans who tune in every day to see players try their luck in Ben Shephard’s prize-giving machine.

One said: “So sorry to read this. Condolences to his family.”
A second wrote: “So sorry to read this news… thoughts to his family.”
A third put: “I just heard the terrible news about Alan. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.”
Someone else tweeted: “Bless Alan, I hope he did have a good day while he was there.”

Another said: “Farewell Alan RIP, may your counters drop on the other side.”
While a sixth added: “I genuinely hope Alan did have a lovely day. RIP.”
Sadly for Alan, he was eliminated at the end of the first round, leaving Angie, Chris and Keri to battle it out for the cash prize.
By the end of the episode just Chris was left to take on the machine for the jackpot.
Chris failed to get the jackpot counter out of the machine, but managed to go home with a respectable £3,300 in the bank.
Host Ben reminded him that would be a great amount of money for him and his partner Alex to get ready for the arrival of their baby.
On top of that, Chris won a cheese-tasting experience too.
