Rak-Su believe that Jesy Nelson’s decision to walk away from Little Mix “could have saved her life”.
The 29-year-old announced she was leaving the girl group after nine years in order to “reinvest in taking care” of herself and embarking on a new chapter in her life.
Now, fellow X Factor winners Rak-Su have spoken about the decision for band member Mustafa Rahimtulla to step away from the group after he had been “struggling with mental health issues”.
The band who now consists of Myles Stephenson, Ashley Fongho, and Jamaal Shurland have praised Jesy’s bravery and spoke about the pressures performers face in the music industry.

Speaking to Metro, Ashley said: “When you’re going through that process [The X Factor] and other things are happening in your life, it can become a difficult time for anybody in any walk [of life].
“But when you’ve also got fame added on to that and there are lots of people talking about it then, it obviously becomes a lot to deal with.”

Mustafa has jetted out of the UK and is spending time in Egypt with his mother but Ashley has no idea whether he will rejoin the chart-topping group.
Meanwhile, Myles Stephenson who also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! went on to say: “We all know that she’s [Jesy] gone through drama with people, obviously trolling and social media so I think she made a very smart decision and that decision could have potentially saved her life.

“We don’t know if she had stayed in the group and continued to receive the social media trolling that she used to get, who knows what could have happened.”
Last week, Jesy shocked fans when she announced her departure via social media.
She penned: “The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.
“There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin the process.”
Jesy continued: “So after much consideration and with a heavy heart, I’m announcing I’m leaving Little Mix.
“I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy. I’m ready to embark on a new chapter in my life – I’m not sure what it’s going to look like right now, but I hope you’ll still be there to support me.”
